Goal of the Game

The goal of the game is pretty simple : survive as long as possible against hordes of zombies.

With the help of your fellow-citizens, improve the defenses, vote for powerful (or useless) construction sites upgrades, explore the desert scavenging for useful materials and gear, rescue players at risk and debate on the forum.

Hardcore

Description

Hardcore mode, often called “HC”, is the game's most difficult ranked gamemode.

All the game's normal GamePlay is available here, but numerous rules and special features increase the difficulty.

Hero abilities

How to become a Hero (Obsolete)

This is obsolete, as in MyHordes, Hero Mode is free and included to everyone, whereas back in the original game, Hero Mode required a subscription payment. Nevertheless, since the original game has been abandoned, Hero days are currently free of charge.

Introduction

The inventory, also known as the rucksack (or bag), accompanies you everywhere in MyHordes. It's so ubiquitous that nobody ever talks about it, yet there are some interesting and important things to say on the subject. After all, it's a citizen's most important tool, whether you're carrying items in the desert, or keeping them with you in town.

Rankings

MyHordes is not a game with a specific goal, and players can set their own objectives of how they want to spend their lives. However, “Survival” is emphasized (Don't confuse Survival with living as long as possible).

Nevertheless, there does exist a few rankings for the more competitive of souls to be able to challenge themselves and aim to excel over everyone else:

Description:

Small towns also called Small Maps are what could be called the “beginner mode” of MyHordes. All new players are forced to play in Small Towns at least once when they sign up to the game.

The Crow

The Crow is the omniscient and omnipotent entity in MyHordes. It acts as a carrier of information (good or bad) and notifies the player about the result of some important actions they tried to do or important changes the Town did.

The Crow character is also embodied by the moderators to policy the T&C and forums as well as to punish the transgressors with its swift and unwavering sense of justice.

Time of The Day

Unlike the original English version of the game (die2nite), MyHordes implemented the different times of the day that affected Hordes (French version). Basically the day is divided in Day and Night based in the game time (UTC +2). Some important game mechanics are affected.

Number of Zombies in the World Beyond

As the days go by, zombies will become more and more present on the map, and their numbers will increase significantly. While it's still possible to move around in groups of 2 or 3 for the first few days, it's simply impossible to attempt an expedition with such a small group once the first week is over.
